The ITIL Foundation Certificate is awarded upon the successful completion of an examination set by a recognised third party (for example Exin). This is also known as the Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management, and is one of several pitching at different levels (others are ITIL Practitioner and ITIL Service Management).
