ICT Infrastructure Management is of course a significant part of the ITIL series. Specifically, it covers network service management, operations management, management of local processors, computer installation and acceptance and systems management.
Essentially, it is technology-focused, addressing service support and service delivery for IT telecoms and networks. As with the other ITIL titles, it was produced by the Office of Government Commerce in the United Kingdom.
Its benefits again map those of the rest of ITIL and include closer alignment of ICT services and business needs, and generally more efficient services. The process life-cycle embraced design and planning, deployment, operations, and technical support.
